Dear Friends,

Jan 25, 2007 09:57

I haven't written here in a while, but it's barely 10am and I'm already going out of my mind here at work. Only 3 more hours right? Right.

Anyway, since most classes the first week of school were cancelled due to inclement weather (read, snow) or professor illness (my photo professor had bronchitis AND laryngitis--needless to say I sit at the other end of the room from him :P), professors have compensated by throwing us into the deep end of the deepest water imaginable. Now, I'm not supermotivated to do homework under the best of conditions, much less my last semester of college. But I'm still caught up on reading for Vanity Fair and only a chapter behind in Marriage and Family.

I've started yoga again, which I love, but 6:15am is a tough time to do anything, let me tell you.

I've got some summer plans in the works, and if they plan out and I can get funding...but I don't want to jinx it by talking about it.

Kat is leaving on Saturday for Leiden in the Netherlands to teach for a month. I'm jealous but only a little because it doesn't sound very organized and that would be scary.

The HVAC system up here in the Music Library is a strange contraption. The pipes hiss and squeal a great deal. I'd be annoyed, only I can't help but imagine that I'm working in a dungeon somewhere. And that's just cool to imagine.

I'm sleepy for no reason, I went to bed really early last night. And poor Holly's the one who didn't get any sleep. She has food poisoning, ick! And I didn't even know until this morning. I'm such a horrible roommate!

In happier news, I finally got to see Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and I'm completely hooked. It's soooooo good, I recommend it to everyone. A drama about a comedy? What could be better? Every actor on the show is amazing. I already loved Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Sarah Paulson, Steven Weber and ED ASNER. And now I love Bradley Whitford, Timothy Busfield, and Nathan Corddry.

So there's my shameless plug for the day. I'm going to go look through some old records and take a few home. Anyone need some Schumann or Liszt?

Love, Sti
