Dear Friends,

Sigh, there really aren't words to describe just how wonderful this weekend was. Everytime I go to Awakening I somehow expect not to get as much out of it as I have before. And, on the contrary, each time I find that I get so much more out of it. My small group/family was incredible. Each person was unique and had new and inspiring things to say about their faith life and faith in general. We spent the weekend sharing and laughing and growing closer together, I don't think I ever experience that as much as I do at Awakening. The extent to which every person there is willing to make themselves vulnerable is just amazing. This weekend was particularly wonderful for me because it finally made me see what it is I really want in certain parts of my life. Now I don't want to settle for anything less than what I deserve. I don't know if you know how liberating that feels. It's like being able to breathe again after several years.

Of course as a result of Awakening I got close to no sleep this weekend, and when I came home to take a nap before mass, Holly said "It sucks that you guys have to go to mass at 5, and you can't sleep longer." And I had to look at her like she was crazy, because I would have gladly given up that hour and half long nap to go back to Glen Rose with all of those people and stay there in that cramped cabin forever.

Also! Katie came all the way from Tyler for it! It was so wonderful that she was there. Everyone loved her, of course. And Natalie was there! It was just so wonderful that all through mass I had to stop myself from crying.

And after dinner and Grey's Anatomy, I was crabby and was told to go to bed but I talked to Joe and then Eileen and they made me un-crabby as usual. We decided that Joe is my panacea- he gives my heart rest. :)

Mark has finally mailed me Spaced, so I shall soon be very very happy (not that I'm not right now, but you know)!

Tonight was Opening Day! The Cardinals beat the Phillies 13-5.Damn.
I heart So Taguchi!

And this week is National Library Week! So be sure to go appreciate your local library!
But now I shall go and try to dedicate the last hour of my shift to reading about Crazy Horse and leave you to waste your time in other places.

Love,
