[The perception of living, dying, dreaming and sleeping - all of these things have no meaning inside of Vanessa's mind right now. As the Dreamberry clicks on for the first time, there's only the sight of a young woman lying on her side, her hands clasped around her neck and rubbing roughly, as though she's shocked at the feeling of the skin there.

[She jumps at the voice, eyes frantically darting to see where it had come from. Though she doesn't stand, she does manage to crawl forward until she's on her knees.]

Who--who is there? Show yourself!

[Oh this day just keeps getting better. Thinking that it was simply Vincent's voice again, she reaches over to where she threw that infernal device and looks down at the face on the surface. The other adopted brother.]

Gilbert...

At the church

[Elliot was standing right outside of the doors to the church, with his arms crossed. There was a frown of annoyance firmly set on his face. When Echo had insisted that he follow her, for Vincent's sake, he automatically was skeptical. Why couldn't Vincent have just called him? What was so important that he had to drag him all the way from the city to the village?! The walk usually took more then an hour already! Why did Vincent say that they had be there within the hour, and yet HE was the one who was running late?!]

[Blame your precious older sister for limping the entire way. :| But they're there, anyway. Upon cresting the small hill leading up the church, he immediately spies the light-haired Nightray from afar.

He raises a hand in greeting.]

Ah, it looks like we are in luck, little sister.

Elliot is still there.

[stfuelly]

Elliot...

[And there he is, looking none the worse for wear. Not like a moment ago when they'd been running through the burning building searching for the way out. Had she lost time, then? Had she really fallen asleep like Vincent said?

Too many questions, none that she could very well answer at the moment. Seeing him standing there is enough.]

Elliot!

[He saw Vincent first.]

Vincent, what--?!

["--the hell did you call me here for?" was what Elliot would have shouted, but he immediately cuts off the second he sees who is following his brother. Any trace of annoyance or anger is instantly gone, replaced with shocked awe as Elliot's mind went blank for a moment.]

...Vanessa?

[The mere fact that she was actually standing in front of him in that moment was already mind blowing enough, let alone how, or why... He had seen her beheaded right before his eyes, though a horribly realistic dream, and she was suddenly here, alive.]

[bloomtrigger]

[That demanding yelling really reminded her of someone she knew... To top it off, Noel heard a name that was familiar to her. That only made her more suspicious of this situation. Still, as an officer, it was her duty to help, so she responds as calmly as she can.]

Umm... Excuse me? I-I can explain the circumstances, if you'd like...

[stfuelly]

[So much pent up anger right now, Noel. Tread carefully.]

Y-Yes, Miss.

[GULP. IS EVERYONE IN ELLIOT'S FAMILY PERPETUALLY ANGRY? That is what Noel wonders. ;;

She tries to steel her nerves, and attempt to look as cool-headed and stoic as possible.]

This world is a realm called Somarium, which has been classified as a 'dream world'. Much like yourself and I, many are trapped here against their will. The reason it's called a 'dream world' is because we're apparently asleep in our respective worlds, and it's uncertain when we'll wake up...

Um, I know it sounds very unbelievable and far-fetched, but... If you ask anyone else, they will tell you the same thing.

A dream... [She looks as though she's actually considering it a moment before getting angry once more.]

I wasn't sleeping just now! And people are hardly this aware inside of their dreams! Tell the truth!
