* Find the merch area, or have the tour manager show you where the mfa materials are.
You pretty much set up and run a table or walk around with a clipboard doing various MfA-pushing activites, such as:
- Talk to people about MfA and it's goals (Music for America is a nonprofit political organization getting 1 million new voters fired up to participate in the 2004 elections. Through live concerts and an interactive webzine, we are connecting culture and politics, exposing political hypocrisies, and igniting a grassroots movement.)
- Sign people up for the MfA email list where they'll get emails once a month or so about upcoming events in their town, ways to get involved, and reminders about elections when they happen.
- Hand out issue-based literature, free t-shirts, buttons, and whatever other fun swag we have to give away.
- Register people to vote.
If there is more than 1 person working the show, depending on the size of the crowd, you can take turns working the table and mingling in the crowd with issue cards, sign-up sheets, buttons, and voter reg cards. It's always more fun with others and it makes the whole thing easier, too.
