( there is a very tired looking blond on the camera here, she is sitting in the hospital room of one Desmond Miles and has been for quite a while since she was made aware of his being in there. she’s leaning on her arm, fingers rubbing her temple. after a moment, she opens her blue eyes to stare into the lens )I would have asked this a lot sooner,

Well, whoever told you that's kinda right. This is Somarium, and you're probably really far from home. Somarium's on another planet. Hypnosia, or something.
[siiiiiigh. As for how they got here...]
Nobody's got straight answers for how, but I've heard that some tech they've got malfunctioned and dragged us all here while we were unconscious or asleep or something like that.

So what you're saying is that we've all been pretty much abducted. Isn't that peachy... ( she's irritated, but only because this means her work is on hold and she really can't have that )

[And a nod.] Yeah. People can leave, but not by choice. They just disappear with no warning.

( she raises her brows, intrigued ) Disappear? They just ... vanish into thin air randomly?

[Said with a complete straight face. He's not kidding. Those things are cranky as all hells.]
Right. Just like that. One second they're there, the next they're gone. Blink and you'll miss 'em kinda thing.

That doesn't make any sense. Why bring us here at all?

A power source that they just toss away randomly? That seems inconvenient.

Well, considering how many people pop in and out of here like crazy, I'm pretty sure they're never running out of batteries.
Reply
I guess that's true enough. Still, makes one wonder why the grab and go so often.
Reply
Maybe we run out of the power they need? I mean, would you keep an empty battery in a flashlight you needed fully charged if you had a fresh set right there?
Reply
Doesn't make much sense - people have told me they've been here for years whereas some people have been here for much shorter lengths of time and vanished. Shouldn't the older residents' "battery power" run out before the new residents do?
Reply
Maybe the older one have more power left to give out? I dunno....haven't really thought about it.
Reply
Seems a lot of people haven't thought things out much about this place.
Reply
[shrug] Yeah, well, when you've got storms that dumb twenty feet of water on us in two days and people falling asleep for two weeks, thinking's kinda not a priority.
Reply
Wait, what?
