Working...

I'm doing overtime at work tomorrow. God knows why. Well, I know *why* - it's because I'll get double time for doing it, and more money always helps. It means that the earlier I can drag myself out of my bed and get to work, the earlier I can get away... so I'll be getting up and getting in the car really early tomorrow. At least I should be ( Read more... )

I finished watching the Pillman DVD today - it's the best profile DVD WWE have produced, for me anyway. He was one of my faves when I first started watching WCW in the late 80s and he a great, but far too short, career. Watching the stuff with Austin and the gun and I said to a colleague how it may have been 10 years ago but it seems cutting edge even by today's standards. I can't wait to watch the extras, just wish they had Pillman/Zenk v Midnights and Pillman v Flair.

Yeah, I absolutely agree - the gun segment and Pillman's XXX Files could air in 2006 and seem far more edgy and dangerous than what they're actually doing these days ( ... )

I hope they're leaving the Pillman v. Flair for Best of Flair part 2, which hopefully will happen next year. Everybody has this set and I haven't even preordered it yet :(

Not heard anything about a 2nd Flair set but I wouldn't be surprised after the success of the first - though I don't see a 2nd set doing nearly as well.

I'm so glad they have the 1991 wargames match as for me that's the better of the two, 1992 being the other and often thought better match. I know MOJ hates the 1991 version but I absolutely loved it, not saying the 1992 version wasn't great too.

Pillman for champ more than Owen - agree 100%. Never saw Owen as a World Champ and to be honest I never heard other people say that while he was alive.

He could have had some amazing matches in WWE. A proper in ring feud with Austin would have been amazing. I'd also loved to have seen him in the ring with Shawn, and Eddie Guerrero too - did that ever happen in WCW?

Pillman v. Eddie from Clash of the Champions is on the DVD ;) It's the match where Pillman makes The Brain say 'fuck!'

91 has multiple Sid fuckups too, which makes it a ton of fun.

"Is Scotty ready?", "yeah", "Let's go".
