It's been almost three weeks since my last update. I've been meaning to update for ages, but, well... laziness is one of my biggest character traits.
So, I'm back at work after my hoiday and well, things are pretty much back to normality. That's not a good thing, by the way. My trip across the water was pretty sweet. Nice to see Steve, Denise and Kevin again. Saturday the 1st was a cool day - AWA in Ware, England vs Portugal and Cage Rage at Wembley. I think I infected Steve with the SHIMMER bug, but I didn't leave Hitchin without picking up a few "reminders" - I've now got Lily Allen on the MP3 player and I've got some new TV shows to watch, namely One Tree Hill and Las Vegas. The days with Kevin were a PS2-fest, with many, many hours on Smackdown vs Raw and Pro Evo 5. Lovely. Saw Pirates Of The Caribbean with Kev and his girl too - very much enjoyed it. Capt. Jack is a legend. Probably the worst thing about the ten days away was the limited access to the 'net. Or at least relatively limited access. I still got online a bit, but there's nothing better than having the www at your fingertips at a moments notice. I haven't quite worked out what all that BT Openworld stuff is all about, but I'll have to look into it, so I can access the 'net using the PSP in future.
Back at work now, as I said. Not a lot going on. Nice to be back with Julie again at least. I've got a few options, job-wise. The promotion at work that I wanted last year has come up again, so I'll probably give that a go, as the pay is real good. I've got another job to apply for in London too, and I *really* want that one. I've even got a job right here in Ballymena that I could probably walk into, but it's actually for less pay than I get right now - so even though I'd be getting out of the hassle of the LSC, I can't mentally justify moving to a job that has a lesser salary than what I currently earn.
I'm currently watching Tommy Lee's Rockstar: Supernova on Sky One. Real cool show - and maybe it's just that "thing" I have for women in rock, but all the girls on the show absolutely SMOKED all the guys. She won't win, but I'm all about Jenny Galt right now - just a beautiful voice. Big Brother is on the other side, and I'm not even caring that I'm missing it. It's definitely the worst year ever. The thing that needs to happen to revive my interest is to get Pete evicted. I mean, it's just so blatantly obvious he's going to win that I don't care any more. If he goes, then the show is opened up again and I might start to care. Oh, and that VILE, VILE woman Jayne is still in there.
A couple of other things in the pipeline to do with wrestling that I hope work out. I'll say no more right now.
Speaking of wrestling - the situation in New Japan with Brock is so f'n annoying. At least Tanahashi is the new IWGP Champ, and hopefully he can grow into the role of company ace over time and across a long title reign. I've been down on Tana this year, but it's great to see him get the strap.
I mentioned in my last update before holidays that the new Johnny Cash CD was awesome. It's still awesome three weeks later.
