First Fan Fic ever

It had been two years since the theatrical release of “Breaking Dawn”. It had been two years since she last saw him. Sure, she saw all of the gossip magazines with screaming headlines such as, “Rob Pattinson bonged Piper Perabo!” “Pattinson and Portman=Portapatty” and “Rob and Cameron: He’s my Shrek!” On the television, she heard of all his dalliances: Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Lauren Conrad, Kate Hudson, Kylie Minogue, and Penelope Cruz to name a few.

She looked at herself in the mirror, with her silver mini dress, black stiletto heels, and long brown hair. She was up for an Oscar for the movie, “Stuff Like That There”. The odds played in her favor: every film critic emphatically agreed that she locked the nomination and the win.

After much thought, Kristen decided that she would go to the Oscars alone. Everyone knew about Adam leaving her at the altar-that experience drove her performance in “Stuff” to par excellence. Thanks to Adam’s actions, she might come away with more than she ever thought possible.

Kristen brushed the blush on her cheeks ever so gently and gave herself a once over. The knock at the door indicated that the limo the studio sent over was ready for her. She took a deep breath and left for the Kodak Theater.

Robert was rehearsing his lines. He was going to present the award for Best Score, however, Tom Cruise fell ill from eating one too many oysters with Jennifer Lopez. Rob was now bumped up to presenting for Best Actress. His heart fluttered because he knew that Kristen would win, and it would be the first time in years since he called her name, not to mention touching her. Despite the gossip mags, he had always been in love with Kristen. He thought all those girls he was photographed with were just good ways to get publicity. He never denied going out with them. “No publicity is bad publicity!” his agent always told him. Like Kristen, he kept up with her too, except she was involved with those Hollywood boys (“They’re not men, they’re dying to get near her because she’s the best actress of our generation!” he once was overheard telling Nikki Reed).

Kristen looked out the window of her limousine and thought back to when she first started in Hollywood. She really didn’t have any intention of making a career out of it-when “Twilight” broke records for independent movies, there was no looking back. Kristen starred in other films (“Notes and Titles” “Mars and Venus” “Social Island” and of course, “Maroon and Wine” where she met her ex-fiancé, Adam). Reminiscing about those movies also took her back to her whirlwind string of romances. After breaking up with Mike Angarano (“We’re too young to be this serious”), she moved on to Chris Evans. However, when Chris moved to New York and a brief yet disastrous romance with Brody Jenner, Kristen decided to be daring and go out with Bret Michaels. “Kristen! He’s just too damn old!” screamed her dearest bff, Nikki Reed. Bret wanted more, and Kristen balked, “Oh hell no! I’m not moving in with you!”

Kristen smiled as she reflected on the international incident with Reese Witherspoon, where both girls tumbled and fought because Reese thought Kristen was just a little too flirtatious with her Jake Gyllenhaal in Paris when promoting their movie, “Social Island”. Paris is where she met Adam, who was on tour in France when he ran into her.

“Miss Stewart? Miss Stewart?! We’re here.”

Damn. This was it. Put on the pretty smile she muttered inside her head and just go… Geronimo!!

Nothing but flashing bulbs, screaming fans, and the plastic dolls of Joan and Melissa Rivers grabbing her hand, pulling her towards them to conduct one of the many interviews she was anticipating.

Kristen entered the Kodak Theater, making her way towards the front. She looked at the name cards around for her seat. All famous names she worked with in the past, but four seats down from her was his name. “Robert Pattinson” she whispered to herself.

“Kristen.” The suave, debonair, and sophisticated English accent. It seemed like thousands of years since she heard it. A cold rush went through her as she slowly turned around to see her Edward.

“It’s been such a long time. You look absolutely beautiful,” Rob, who was all decked out in his Armani tuxedo … with Converse sneakers, gushed.

“Rob, it’s great to see you too. You cleaned yourself up pretty good,”

“Where’s your date? A Best Actress nominee doesn’t come to these things without a dashing chappy on her arm.”

Grrrrr.

“I came alone. You know I was never the one for conventionality.”

“Tis true. You set your own rules. Well, I know we don’t have a lot of time, but I wanted to wish you good luck. You definitely deserve it”

“Not really, but thanks anyway,” as Kristen took her seat when the music started playing.

Rob walked away smiling, knowing in his heart that the time had come.
