i had it up to HERE with supernova.
it just doesn't make sense anymore. it just doesn't.
until today, i couldn't have cared less about placing in the semi-finals to continue on to the finals...BUT, when a band with 40 year old men in it, that have only three people watching, and no enthusiasm continues on to the finals instead of a band that managed to tear up the place, with great enthusiasm from a CROWD and from the band just pisses me off. yes, i'm talking about my band.
call me bi-ased if you must, but if you actually saw the difference between our band and that band, you would most definately think that this is all complete nonsense.
those chumps at supernova will fuckin do anything for money. we pretty much lost because we did not have enough ticket sales...i'm sorry, but that is NOT how the music world works. you look at bands like Nirvana and At drive-in, whom were discovered in small venues playing only in front of a few people. Yes, these bands are no longer here today, but...who the fuck wants to pay $12 to watch just ONE band play for only 20 minutes. thats right, these tickets were 12 fucking dollars, which makes more sense as to why no one really wants to come.
supernova backs this argument up by saying that they would go out to see their friend's band no matter how the ticket price....but how many more times are you gonna rob your friends $10 for every single supernova show you play. i mean, the money is not going towards anything...unless you win of course. After seeing who else advanced to these finals, i've pretty much just given up on this so called "band agency'. its preposterous. this thing is becoming a fucking popularity gig.
to sum this all up. You can win first place just by shoving a drumstick up your ass, as long as you sell the most tickets!
