and summer begins...
...so summer begins.
exams have been completed on the thursday, (the very festive 420) and already i've experienced some interesting things.
of course, thursday, i did my duty to hold the tradition of 420, although i didnt do it at 4:20pm, it's all about the day...and my friends, that day is 24hrs and not a measly 1 minute. after exams we celebrated on this day...and boy, DID IT EVER FEEL GOOD. i stopped to get into exam mode...so one could imagine how high a person can get without the green in their system for two weeks.
friday was rather interesting. finally, it has come upon the band to start playing shows, and there's no better way to start off in the back yard of some strangers house. and to top things off, these strangers were wrestling...like WWE wrestling. ever see on TV where all the 'misfit/loner kids' go to release their frustrations...yeh, this place was in this dude's backyard. none of us expected this. judging by the neighbourhood, we expected the cops to be there within 5 minutes. but, THE SHOW MUST GO ON. and that it did. with a few minor mistakes (yeh, it was me) the band held out strong, making an impact on the neighbourhood rather than the kids themselves, which i felt was pretty funny. these...wrestlers, had no intention to actually listen to us, but to use us for the filming of their backyard wrestling tournament. and yes, it will be on the internet shortly. remind me to post the website when i find out about it.
saturday, of course, was our end of the year kegger. and my, how well it went. i stressed out all day, and the stress paid off. we made money, drank ourselves silly, and cooked up a storm. great turnout, and some mighty good compliments. it was definately sad though. like the last year of highschool, most of your friends will going different ways. In this case, different majors. Most will be accountants while others will be marketers. so it was my duty to have a last blast, and hopefully, we can continue to keep the BCom undergraduate team very strong. a friend of mine will be movin to las vegas during this summer. she will be missed. hopefully i'll see her when i lose all my income playing black jack at a casino down there on my 21st birthday.
