rain

So I get to work an hour early because my bro had to get to the doctor regarding some Epi-pen or something. So I sit around like a waste of space for an hour and watch the somewhat round and jovial manager Joey go after some guard with a towel. Joey would later tangle with Brian, a lifeguard of the same description, producing even funnier results.

So I get to the bottom of the slide because the brat daughter of the finance manager won't shift out of the baby pool because she's lazy, and end up having to deal with some six-inches-too-short girl who was ranting unintelligably about how "it wasn't fai" and her "sisters were going up" and her "mom said she doesn't care" and I had to measure her like TEN TIMES before she would leave. Good thing it wasn't too crowded.

Today was the last day for Kidsco to be using the pool. That and the fact that camps don't come in at nine in the morning any more just make my job SO MUCH EASIER.

Again today, there was no one to do trash, so we skipped over it. Must be the third straight time I've been in that that's happened.

Might be because guest services people are dropping like flies and vacationing like rich people. The same guy who was "off-task at the baby pool" didn't show up for his shift the other day, I think he's done.

After an hour and a half of work, it starts thundering, so we clear the pool. Everyone leaves but like six people, who I think we scared off with our goofing off while stacking chairs and shit like that.

Then it started raining, then we got lightning, then all weather hell just broke loose.

Then the managers needed two lifeguards and one guest services person to leave because otherwise we'd stay closed and lose money for paying people to still be here. So, needless to say... I left. I'm working like nonstop for the next two weeks, and if I can get any kind of break, I'm taking it.

Came home, was bored as hell, redid my layout.

I'm not working tomorrow, thank God. I've got an in-car then, but if this weather keeps up, I don't know if I'm gonna show up or not. I mean, driving is all fun and good, but driving in a flood with three weeks' experience is... well, not so hot.
