this always happens
I always make a big deal out of shit that I don't really want to do, worry about it a lot beforehand, and when it actually gets done, it wasn't so bad.
This happened with the party today. I wasn't too stoked about getting up early to get to the pool for opening time, only to find out the party isn't till like 5 or 6 PM. So I come home and wait the rest of the day away, anticipating the arrival of the FedEx truck, only to find out the package I'm expecting is getting delivered to my dad's office. My aunt and cousins drop by uninvited/unexpectedly right before I have to leave, so we had to give them the kind shove out the door before heading to the Water Park.
After my ride leaves, I find out the party is at the Aquatic Center across town. I'm supposed to be there at 5:30, right then it's 5:27. Great, it's the job interview all over again. So I forget to clock out at the Water Park and scramble to find a ride to the Aquatic Center. I get one, get there at about 5:35, run in and discover that I beat the party there by like 15 minutes.
So yeah, the party. The kids behaved themselves, the parents were a little off the wall, but whatever. I didn't even have to do any water games. The most awesome manager in the world was on duty. All in all, easiest extra $1.50 I've made.
Got some Subway for dinner, come home to find out the package didn't get to my dad's office either. Damn Fedex. And damn the Postal Service, too... bring me my fucking boots.
Tomorrow my mom and my bro are in NYC all day, which I miss because of fucking Driver's Ed. Maybe I'll remember to bring a pen this time, haha.
