I created this community almost three years ago, when I was giddily in love with two young men who brought me to a team I came to love even more. Now, over 500 members and almost 2000 posts later, we find an era of this fandom ending. Obviously, a lot of things have changed. Some of the old faces (well, usernames) have faded away, and new ones have drifted in. The whole fandom has changed, really, not just this community, and I'm probably guilty of drifting away from it as I know a lot more have as well. But, of course, there are those who have stayed, those who have continued loving the pairing even if not actively participating anymore, those who remember loving the pairing fiercely even if that fire has since been extinguished. So that's what this is about: everyone who has ever loved this pairing. In whatever way, at whatever time, for however long. Whether it was the day after that famous kiss in Istanbul, or a year later while looking at pictures and hearing the story, or three years after while reading the most amazing fanfiction about it or having nothing to do with it but them, or four years after, writing your own stories still.

Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of you who made this community what it was and still is, whether from day one or a while after that. The community will stay open, of course, and definitely keep posting! :)

Secondly, I'd like to ask all of you to share your memories, your favourite pictures, videos, fanfics, pieces of fanfics, moments, the things that meant the most to you. (For a more organised fic recommendation list, check out tasheila's post here.)

And thirdly, I'd like you to heed the words on the community's profile page. It meant something to us, it was real to us, so it will live on forever with us.
