I have a paper to write, and I've written half of it, but I'd rather update here instead.
Nutmeg
First things first, we got a new kitty last Monday!
Her name is Nutmeg. We got her from the Humane Society, and she's five months old. My mom's original intent of getting her was so Sinnamon would have a playmate, but so far, all the kitties have done are hiss at each other. Nutmeg is pretty much the opposite of Sinnamon in personality; Sin is psychotic and wants to kill you, and Megs just wants you to pet her and to lay on your face while you sleep. Speaking of sleeping on my face, she's latched on to me as her "Mama", so I get to be the one woken up at 5 am by being suffocated and/or having kitten claws being kneaded into my neck.
Midterms
I'm in the middle of my first rush of midterms right now. I had my first Genetics exam on Friday, which I'm pretty sure I aced and everyone else is pretty sure they failed. Today I had an Evolution exam, tomorrow I have a paper due in Roots of War (which is half-written), a Herpetology lecture exam this Thursday, a Herpetology paper on Tuesday, and a lab practical on Thursday. This all wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't slightly behind because I was busy with the Cabaret's gala most of Saturday, and I slept most of yesterday, thanks to little kitties waking me up on the hour every hour from 1 am to 10 am. Of course, being behind is kind of good for me because it lights a fire under my ass, and I actually get work done.
Shakespeare in Hollywood
So I got the news yesterday that I'll be an extra in Shakespeare in Hollywood at the Cabaret. I'm not upset with this by any means. After all, this is the first time I've auditioned there to actually be in a play (instead of being the helpful volunteer that does everything). Everyone told me I nailed my audition, but I've lost confidence in my acting abilities since I quit after high school. Anyway, I'm just glad to be involved in the play in any way, because the theatre is basically my social group anymore. We're all counting down to when I finally turn 21 and can actually go out with everyone!
