Le weekend

Well that was interesting.

After last weeks illness, we drove to London to the Chelsea flower show.
Set off at 11 o/c, arrived North London at 4:30, arrived in Wimbledon at 7pm. 2-1/2 hours to get round London!
I know why I don't live in London.
We missed going to any of Fridays flower show, so we stayed in the hotel.
Saturday, and the show. Nice, but wet. After a number of hours slogging it became 4 o/c, when they start selling off flowers.
Now there were two schools of thought to this. Some stands allowed reservations to be place on plants throughout the day, to be collected in the hour after 4pm. This makes the plants look a little ugly (with raffle tickets all over them) and means you have to start early to get popular plants.
Other stands operated a 'no reservation - start selling at 4pm' policy which ends up being a scrum-like affair.

After that, and a stupidly complex journey back to Wimbledon bedecked in plants thanks to an unpublicised tube route closure, we went to see Les Miserables. Fantastic show. Javier and Epinone had great voices.

Then, on Sunday back up north where people speak proper.
Managed to persuade my other half to get a train from Derby with all the plants, and went to the mud village also known as Locko.

A quiet event. Spent a lot of time in the guild. Re-signed Aben-nuath up to the Guild. The one encounter I was involved in got splatted.
One thing to say to the PB's though. You're evil, but thanks.
