Never Understand

His fist throbs
As his daughter sobs

He never meant to do it
But I guess he blew it

She stares at his hateful eyes
As she mumbles out words between her cries

She will never understand
Why from the house he was never banned

When she is in the house
She hides and is as quiet as a mouse

She doesn't want to make him mad
For then he would hit her, even though it is her own dad.

I wrote this poem for one of my friends and it is completly true. It makes me mad that there are people out there that have to go through this and I know of more than one. No one should have to go through this and it is wrong. well talk later. Love always Jessie
