It's just Inoo presented it like he's talking about gossip & rumour and certain people didn't really like the "heard from the staff about fans blah blah blah" part... (those ppl thought like, he just heard it from the staff and decided it's true about the fans?! i dunno o__O)
Other than that, if he'd deleted that line, it would sound better like his normal poison-tongue-liar-joke LOL

Just having heard from the staff, among the fans, there seems to be a lot of them
having the idea (imagining) that me & Yabu are scrambling for/fighting for Hikaru. (laughs) That just made me laughed indeed...
薮:ちょっと ~かんべんしてくれよ (笑 )
Yabu: Chotto~ Pardon me yo/ Just let me get away with this yo (laughs)
伊野尾: 本当だよ! 光何て欲しくないし。
Inoo: Seriously! I don't want what Hikaru.
("何て(nante)" after a noun stressed the meaning.)

And hmm...coz Inoo also used a few stressing words which could have included a bit critical meaning. A few people might have interpret as Inoo saying sth like "hahaha, hey hey, listen to this blah blah...=w= Me & Hika? WHAT? What a joke this is. No way! Why would I want Hika LOL"
Anyway =w= Inoo are very good friends with YabuHika still~
