I really haven't updated this thing in so long I don't really know where I should start. I guess i could tell you I signed a label deal through Unauthorized/Asylum/Warner and have had a pretty good 2009. My company E.A.R. has began promotions on it's first record and I have been somewhat successful with it. Who ever knew I would end up in the same business as my old man? I enjoy it though, I'm good at it, getting better everyday, and I'm hungry for success.
maybe I should tell you I love my work as an audio engineer. I've recorded several people this year including Slim Thug, Pitbull, Bun B, Brian Angel (Day 26), Paula DeAnda, Baby Bash, Lucky Luciano, Lil Boosie, and soooo many more. Slim Thug's Comedy Central skit was filmed at our studio The Lion's Den and I'm actually putting my degree (soon) to good use.
Now, at the end of the year my uncle has offered me a job... the only problem is I would have to move to Corpus Christi thus I'm faced with a big decision... Do I move and run a badass studio even though it's in a shitty city with possibly no chance of finding a hit record or do I stay here in houston???
Moving to Corpus would be what my degree is for, I'd be paid well, I'd have free reign to do whatever I want with my musical creativity, and chances are i'd be a very prominent person in that music scene but IT'S CORPUS lol
I think i'll miss out on too many opportunities so I'm gonna think about this very hard for a week or so. It'd be great experience so I do kind of wanna do it for 6 months or so but i'm scared to get stuck over there.
who knows. i'm still young... still trying to find my way but i think im getting closer.
