Snakes on a Plane
Campy in all the right places, serious in others. Sam Jackson fills the screen with his presence, and he was right: this movie isn't bad-funny, it's funny funny. It revels in its own premise, it knows what it is, and the filmmakers had a good time making what turned out to be a pretty good brainless summer action flick.
What makes it cross the line from "fun" to "spectacular," though, is what a phenom it's become. If you're going to watch this movie, go to the theater to watch it. Waiting for the DVD will simply not pack the same punch as being in a room full of fans laughing and applauding with you at every camptastic moment.
