Loot list

So, I've now been the subject of five separate happy birthdays, first with coworkers, then Nina, then friends, Nina's family, and my family. So I figure it should be fairly safe now to list off the swag I got for surviving another year.

In the Games department, I grabbed the PS2 MMX Collection, along with Worms DS, Super Princess Peach, and Metroid Prime Hunters. So far the only one I've gotten a chance to play with is Worms. And in a funny coincidence, I asked for SPP after Nina had commented that she wanted to play it, so we decided she couldn't be the one to get it for me; instead I got it from some friends.

In Movies, I got The Emperor's New Groove (special edition, awesome movie), and Narnia's special edition. I also got Clone Wars PT 1, which I suppose qualifies more as "TV Series." In that department, I got the first season of Lost and the Firefly DVDs.

I also got the Penny Arcade "Attack of the Bacon Robots" book, along with "Stranger Than Fiction" and "Choke" by Chuck Palahnuik. After I finish those two, I'll just have Haunted and Diary to read before I've covered all of Chuck's vast creepy collection.

And finally, in more miscellaneous territory, I got "Motion Sickness" by Bright Eyes (his live album, adding to my mounting list of new CDs to listen to), and a $50 gift card to Best Buy, which I think I'll probably use on Serenity and Simpsons Season 7, and an iTunes gift card.

One final note, though, just to prove how lucky I am. All that stuff is great, but when Nina asked me what I wanted most for my birthday, I told her that I really just want some time alone with her. You know, a weekend or something that we could get away, not worry for a few days about wedding planning or rushing anywhere. So what does she get me? A weekend trip to New York City in May. Best. Fiancee. Ever.
