A 50/50 cut is part of the deal

So once in a while I come up with fantastic ideas that would make me rich if I had the knowledge of how to do them, or at the very least, the motivation to research to learn the knowledge.

Here's my latest such idea, and it keeps coming back to me: a blog aggregator. Sort of like Trillian or AdiumX (for you Mac users), but for blogs. There are about 5 different blog sites that come to mind, just off the top of my head, and it's implausible to set up separate accounts for each of them just to keep up with your damn friends. Anytime I want to see my brother's blog, for example, I dig it out of my bookmarks, and I'm sure he has to do the same thing for me. If you could just enter one core password that would log you in, compile the lists of all your friends from various sites, and let you reply to various sites, that would be great.

And while I'm shooting out crazy ideas, what about some kind of affiliation with the online rental services? As an option, not as a requirement. But, you know, let people on your LJ Friends list see what you have out on your Netflix queue. Sort of like xanga's "currently watching" feature, only in an automated way. The Netflix Friends list already lets you view people's ratings and recommendations and stuff, so this wouldn't be too much of a stretch if they reached some kind of agreement with the major blog sites out there. If anything it seems it would foster more business.

By reading this, you agree that if you actually go through with one of these ideas and make money, I get a cut.

P.S. I apologize for linking to Scott's blog, because it may forward him a veritable rogue's gallery. I'm so very sorry.
