Spirit's sank
SPOILERS for The Spirit.
The Spirit didn't totally suck, despite the reviews. Yes, the film had a googol more style than substance but it did make me laugh. It is funny in a campy '60s Batman way. There's no plot to speak of, just set pieces of femme fatales photocopying their perfect bottoms and sliding about in stunning couture (which is noted in a post-modern way by Scar-Jo in one memorable scene.)
Yes, El Jacksone is huge. He seemed to be in IMAX wheras the film wasn't. The whole scene with him an Scar-Jo in Nazi uniforms was the campest thing since The Famous Five Go Camping but only more camp. With campness added.
But it was worth the price of admission alone to see Gabriel Macht shirtless. Woof!
