Took the day off to work around the house today and pack for tomorrow's travel. My flight leaves Detroit Metro a little after 10 and arrives in Albany a bit before noon. I'm hoping there aren't any delays. My shuttle is scheduled to leave the airport at noon. So, I'm thinking in terms of carry-on baggage.
Finished The Lies of Locke Lamora this weekend. As expected, it was a nice complement to Kushner's The Privilege of the Sword, which I compared to an iceberg (in a good way). I immediately wanted to sit down and start reading RSuRS. Good sign. :-)
Besides packing, today's list of chores includes: doing the dishes, cleaning the bathrooms, putting away clothes. Looking forward to a relaxing evening with the family.
Still no word back on the current crop of queries. Had one pass, right away. Very nice reply, acknowledging the editorial recommendation, but agent didn't believe we would click. Bit a bummer, but still much appreciated for its speed. I was lucky to catch that agent at the right time for a quick rejection. I'm coming to find that querying is a bit like dating. Synchronicity ... it's all about synchronicity.
