As an addendum to #2 in the previous post, where I noted how it's necessary for me to perform the exercises correctly, for me to slow down, it's best if I don't directly watch the Jillian avatar.
As long as I work out the entire time she appears on screen, I got the full benefit. And I wasn't discouraged by seeing how far I've got to go until a particular routine ends. For example, the side crunches were killers, and seeing the 60 reps dwindle slowly didn't help. I felt as if the workout would never end. I had to focus on correct movement and take the lumps reported in my daily rating.
