The Sun Also Sets proceeds apace, though I'm finding the idea of logging progress for the next 67 days daunting. The first days of a novel are similar to the first steps you take on the ascent of Everest. You lose sight of where you're at and can only see where you're going--and how far away that summit seems. It's not easy taking those first steps, or the ones that follow after once you realize there's so much left to do and so far to go.
I finished the prologue. It's shorter than the one for Only The Dead, letting me jump right into the meat of the novel. I'm still in the foothills, barely out from the base camp. Everest looms, cold, the air thin.
Total Words: about 4,500
New Words: 4 pages in TSAS and 3 pages in OTD
Darling Du Jour: There isn't a traditional today, as what I'm geeked over are the titles for Part One and Part Two, which are ... Bodily Changes in Pain, Hunger, Fear and Rage and The Girl with the Radium Eyes.
