I just couldn't choose a top 10 this year. 2006 was a great year for music! Look at all those names! Yay! Seriously listen to Beach House if you never had. They are one of my favorite finds of all time.

MOVIES!
There weren't as many great films this year as there was music. I was also really poor toward the end of the year a missed a lot of movies that I wanted to see (ie The Departed, Marie Antoinette, Prestige), so take this list with a grain of salt cuz this is only of films I saw. But 2006 did yield one of my all-time favorite movies, so I'm happy with it. It's at number 1 (obviously).

4. Neko Case - Variety Playhouse, Atlanta
5. The Flaming Lips - Lollapalooza, Chicago
6. The Ditty Bops - The Spiegel Tent, New York
7. Danielson w/ Neil Hamburger! - The End, Nashville
8. Sufjan stevens - The Ryman, Nashville
9. Tilly and the Wall - The Drunken Unicorn, Atlanta
10. Belle and Sebastian w/ The New Pornographers - The Ryman, Nashville
11. Stars w/ The Elected - Lincoln College Cafeteria, St. Louis
Well I had a pretty excellent and crazy year. There were a few bumps in the road, but I met lots of new great friends and had a lot of fun. I love you guys all a lot and hope you had a good year too. Let's look foraward into the new one with hope and love.
