What is wrong with people?!?! I found this in the movie viewer comment area on detnews.com:
The Oompa-Loompas were funny to watch. I couldn't understand the lyrics because the music was so loud, though. You know what's interesting about Oompa-Loompas? Nobody ever talks about the social aspects of Wonka's exchanging the local workforce for what is essentially slave labor. This is true in both the book or the 2 movies. If Wonka operated in Michigan, the unions would burn down his factory once it started running with no apprarent labor force. I'd like to see a movie with that element involved, perhaps directed by Michael Moore. I also find it significant that the actor for the Oompa-Loompas appeared to be Hindu. Is Deep Roy from Bangalore, by any chance?
It's a movie, shut the hell up! I feel like tracking this guy down and bitch slapping him. "Eating for Wonka" just doesn't sound right....
