Happiness is:
1) 2 wonderful months
2) Passing all your courses when you were terrified that you might fail one of them (I'm looking at you, 3rd Year World War One course!)
3) Finally being able to sit outside comfortably in the sun on your front patio reading Neil Gaiman, Christopher Hitchens, and Kurt Vonnegut
4) Having your wonderful girlfriend take you to her family's cottage on the water for the night in the place of a cancelled shift
5) Having that same wonderful girlfriend make your lunch for you when you go to work
6) The idea that the 4th Indiana Jones film begins principle shooting in a few weeks
7) Having your landlord suprise you with two new chairs and a table for your patio
8) plants, plants, plants and more plants for the patio (thank you Mallory!)
9) re-kindling long-neglected interests in The Office, Arrested Development, Star Trek and Star Wars
10) Being able to confidently express one's opinions in public (not just a blog) without fear (or care) of people's precious sensibilities being offended.
11) Getting a cat. This week.
12) A warm gun, mama.
Why is Star Wars cool these days, while Star Trek is still relegated to the nerd-patrol? I like them both, but I cannot explain the rift. Whatevs.
I sure wish I could afford to go home.
