Chapter One
“I wish I knew how to quit you,” he’d said, driven by anger and all those words unsaid ‘til now. Watching Ennis drive away, he knew his wish was gonna come true.
Chapter Two
Jack was halfway home, tears falling. All the way, he'd rehashed their argument, lashed out at Ennis, then surrendered. No way to quit him, no way to stop. Lord help me, I can’t leave this man.
Chapter Three
Ennis walked out of the post office thinking of Jack. Just another day until he turned the postcard over and saw that word stamped in red.
