Another partial forgotten until now

Well, I thought awhile back that I had nothing else to offer the fanfiction world of Ennis and Jack. Apparently, I was wrong. Here is another story that I had started and forgotten about. Enjoy.

hi steve,
that was amazing. i loved the whole thing but i think my favorite part was this:
“Ennis,” was the only thing Jack could get out, just a whisper, before his need and feelings overwhelmed him. He was unable to do anything but hold on.
“It’s been too…,” he faltered, “…it’s been too long, cowboy,” he said in a strained and tearful voice. Ennis kept trying to say something, anything, but couldn’t find his voice.
Finally, “Jack…goddamn, Jack.” He was so overcome he just pulled Jack in tighter shoving his face into the crook of Jack’s neck.
Jack, breathing heavy, said softly in Ennis’ ear, “I can’t believe you’re here, Ennis. I just can’t…,” and the tears started. “Don’t let go…don’t let me go just yet, okay?” They held each other for a good while just to feel the other close, to satisfy some small part of the need they had for each other after all that time.
right there you see it all, the overwhelming, love, need and desire for the other.
i really hope you continue this and that they can figure out a way to be together.
it is killing them to be apart, as this year that they weren't able to see one another proved.
and you definitely still have alot more to offer us in jack and ennis world.
thank you,
teresa

I have no plans really to continue this one. The pivotal spot being the very end where he says he can get Ennis to stay with him, his excitement over it, his certainty, when we all know that won't happen implying the downfall from the ecstacy he feels now. I do have a couple more stories to finish and find that i may not be able to stop there, so stay tuned.
