Busy summer.

So life's been getting pretty tiring recently, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Every day, monday through saturday, I go to captain's practice, either at 8 AM or 5:15 PM depending on the day where we run 2 to 5 miles, depending on how Margaret is feeling at the time. After our brisk little run, we do a rather intense ab work out. When I get home from practice, or before practice if it's at 5, I generally do some moderate weight training for an hour. That right there amounts to two, two and a half hours of cardio and muscle training work.

Then, after those two or so hours, I go to kyusho for another hour. Now, if I haven't raved about this school before, let me do so now. The school teaches Kyusho-Jitsu, which is more or less pressure point fighting. All over your body, there are specific parts, namely around veins, joints, or weak spots in the body, that are extremely sensitive to certain methods of attack. And when you hit these points right, you can incapacitate your opponent without actually killing them, or mangling bones and joints. The benefits of this? It's much easier to evade the law when you don't leave broken bones in your wake. And also, it's a very effective style that can be adapted to any other existing form of fighting. And I won't even get into the chi stuff I've seen done and had done to me, you probably wouldn't even believe me if I told you. The only draw back of the school is that we're basically activating these pressure points for a solid hour. Which means you're sore afterwards, but I love it. Even though I have bruises all over my arms and lumps forming around collapsed blood vessels, it's still a good time.

Anyways, that's what I've been doing for the past week, and probably for the rest of the summer. Overall, it amounts to close to 4 hours of physical training a day, so hopefully I'll start seeing some impressive results over the rest of the summer.

Beyond the training, there's always plenty of summer homework as you're all well aware. This week I've been doing a chapter of bio notes a day, in addition to a handful of chapters out of Huck Finn. If I manage to keep that pace, I'm fairly confident that I'll be done around the end of the summer without having to cram in anything on the last few days.

Well, that's all I can think of.
