Anyway, Finns made his debut for Portsmouth last week against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and I found two interviews/articles, a little quote about the penalty that was denied to Wolves, and some pictures!
Defender thrilled to return
The agonising wait had lasted precisely two months and three days. But finally Steve Finnan was back in a Pompey shirt.
And with him he brought the greatest present of all - a Premier League victory.
It was back on the first day of August when the former Liverpool man limped out of the action against Benfica.
The City of Guimaraes Trophy encounter was to be Finnan's grand introduction to Blues fans.
But within 25 minutes of entering as a half-time substitute, he damaged his hamstring.
Since then Younes Kaboul, Marc Wilson and newcomer Anthony Vanden Borre have all operated in the right-back berth which Finnan was recruited to fill.
Then against Wolves - 64 days later - he made his long-awaited first-team bow.
It coincided with a first clean sheet of the season and Pompey's first Premier League victory of the campaign.
And for the 33-year-old, the relief at being back out on a football pitch again was obvious.
He said: 'It's been a long time. I've done a lot of training and a lot of hard work to get back and it's taken a bit of time. It's just nice to be back playing again.
'It's been very frustrating.
'Any player will tell you he doesn't like being injured, especially if the team is losing. You just want to be back playing. It's just horrible watching games and not being part of it.
'I've had a couple of reserves games in the build-up but to play in the first-team is totally different. It's what I've been waiting all this time for.
'It feels great and it's especially nice to come back into a winning team.
'I feel we probably deserve a few more points. We did really well against Wolves but I feel that result had been coming.
'It's great to be part of things again, now hopefully I can stay fit and stay in the team.'

Portsmouth right back Steve Finnan spoke out after after his side's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. The former Liverpool defender made his debut for the club in Portsmouth's first win of the season.
Portsmouth's financial troubles have been well documented, with new owner Sulaiman Al Fahim unable to pay players and senior board members their wages since his takeover. It is believed the new owner is already close to selling the club to a consortium lead by Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie and Ali Al-Faraj.
Finnan likes the spirit his new side showed in the win over Wolves, and the Irish international hopes all the club's troubles, both on and off the pitch, are in the past.
"I've just heard they (the wages) are coming in on Monday," Finnan told Sky Sports.
"It is not nice, but the lads have got on with it and against Wolves showed their spirit just to get on with their jobs.
"It is one of those things that doesn't happen too much to clubs. It is has not happened to me before.
"Everyone has got their views on it. Some were disappointed. Some were thinking it will be coming eventually.
"We are only human. Everyone has got their different opinion and everyone wants their money coming in."
