I think I may have liked it more had I not been reading it for class. Not in the sense that I resented having to read it-- I loved it-- but in the sense that I had to take the book faster than I'd've liked in order to finish it on time. (A problem I am not reexperiencing with Daniel Deronda.)

I read The Moonstone for a detective literature class and enjoyed it very much.
