No girlfriend for Steve-o
As Walky mentioned casually in his LJ, Dawn came to visit over the weekend. The primary purpose of this visit (in my mind at least) was for us to be around each other some more so we could figure out whether we want to try having a long-distance relationship. Sadly, I wasn't really into it, so the answer to that question is a "no", at least for the near future. By the end of OTFCC weekend back in July/August, I had started to feel some interest in her, and had thought about it a few times since then, wondering if it would work. But, it won't, I guess.
I'm sure she could tell I felt that way already by the time I broached the subject, and neither of us really wanted to talk about it directly, but I prefer to get that kind of thing out there to make it easier for both people to know what the other is thinking.
Not that the weekend was a loss, or anything. I really enjoy spending time with her, and we did a lot of fun stuff. Lots of science, for one thing. We went to the zoo, Perkins Observatory, and COSI (the Columbus science museum). We also watched some Studio Ghibli stuff, since she'd never seen any, and I showed her "The Evil Meteor", and we played some video games. Good stuff.
