noodles, floor work, writing

For lunchtime dinner, "J" made Saigon noodles from scratch. It was an experimental recipe, and we both agree that it was a success, except that it was a lot of work.
I did more floor work. I trimmed the spline in the edge of the heat vent frame so that it actually fit; it had been a bit too long. I nailed down quite a few boards, cutting end pieces to length as needed:
  • Row 70 #6+, #7, #8, and #9−
  • Row 71 #6+, #6−, #7, and #5
  • Row 72 #5
  • Row 71 #4, #8, and #9 (finishing this row)
  • Row 72 #4, and the tiny #3 (returning to this row)

Only three boards remain: Row 72 #7, #8, and #9−. But there's a little cutting to be done on #9, and it's too late to use the saw now, so I'm done for now.
For dinner we had lots of Thanksgiving leftovers. Good stuff.
Finally, winding down, I worked on a writing project some more.
