music composition, clothing repairs

Jan 04, 2018 23:40

As I already mentioned, "J" and I went to the gym this morning. While we were out, "A" dropped by, and missed us.
I spent most of the rest of the day with Musescore, working on a musical composition. It's still pretty rudimentary; I'm just tinkering with rough ideas so far.
In the evening, I did some more clothing repairs. I patching a hole in one of my shirts with a piece of black cotton, and used white stitches to fill in the plaid pattern. The plaid pattern also had yellow, but I didn't bother filling in the yellow, but the discrepancy is inconspicuous except close up - and if someone is that close, they see a neatly repaired hole rather than a disruption in the plaid.
I also fixed a ripped seam on one of J's dresses. I used a strip of thin iron-on polyester, wrapped around the edge of the hem, on the inside, and then stitched over the edge to secure it and get the shape back to normal.
