NAME: Liechtenstein [Elise "Lili" Vogel]
RACE: Essentially the human personification of Liechtenstein, a small land-locked nation in Central Europe, much like the rest of the other nations of the world. Appearance wise, she looks as human as possible.
AGE: Physically appears 16; as a nation, she’s nearly 200 years old (although that can be stretched a few centuries back if counting from before her independence).
CANON POINT: 2011 - present timeline
REFERENCES:
WikiaGENDER: Physically and mentally female.
APPEARANCE:
Liechtenstein is a petite young lady with blonde hair and styled into a chin-length bob cut, finished with a blue coloured ribbon-bow on the right side of her head. Her hair frames a pair of green eyes, and features that belie her true age and mature nature. Right up until World War I, she wears her hair long and tied into braids, only to cut it short to resemble Switzerland (her older brother)’s hair style. She usually dresses in a long-sleeved red coloured dress with stripes of a different shade of red or pink, topped up with white cuffs and a high collar tied with a neckbow of a similar colour to her dress. Her ensemble is completed with a pair of Mary Jane shoes.
PERSONALITY & HOUSE REQUESTS: Hufflepuff [1st] | Ravenclaw [2nd]
Liechtenstein is a young nation who prefers a simple life, so long as it is sufficient to support her country’s well-beings. Albeit looking younger than her age, she is known for her maturity and sensibility, coupled with a dash of wittiness whilst retaining a touch of naivety and innocence. Nonetheless, she is also humble and polite, speaking only when necessary or required, though she will not hesitate to put forth her own opinions. She carries a sweet demeanour around her that makes other people want to dote on and protect her, as in the case of Switzerland. It also doesn’t help that she has an uncanny liking for animals and all things cute.
Furthermore, she has a huge love for needles and threads, and is a true embroiderer at heart, usually sewing her own (or for others’) clothes, even creating gifts for them. More often than not, this is her usual way of thanking people for their kind assistance, or just because they’re generally nice individuals. A shy person by nature, she is often seen tagging alongside Switzerland, whom she treats as an older brother. Unfortunately, having once been mistaken as the younger brother instead (after cutting her long braided hair short and wearing a military uniform to resemble Switzerland's), she has become rather self-conscious over the lack of female endowment on her chest area. The matter caused quite a bit of distress and panic in her, until the Swiss managed to console and resolve the issue by buying her a blue ribbon, which she now ties into her hair.
Like other nations, Liechtenstein isn’t without her own dark histories either. Since a young age, she has been passed along from one nation to the other, often as spoils of wars that she has no partake in except for the undeniable fact that she was under the guardianship of whichever nation who lost, particular during the days before and when she lived with Austria. Though she had claimed neutrality during WWI, the war affected her severely and she nearly died from lack of food, until she was saved by Switzerland. Nonetheless, Liechtenstein is not one to give up easily, especially once she has make up her mind.
Which is why Hufflepuff would be the most suitable House for Liechtenstein due to her heart that is both loyal and friendly, compassionate toward anyone and often putting others’ interest before hers in her own humble ways. If she has to be in another house, then it would be Ravenclaw due to her intelligence with a tendency to speak her mind when deemed necessary, and an uncanny ability in using high-tech equipments. But the main choice is the former option.
COMMUTER DETAILS: Liechtenstein is not aligning with Voldemort, nor the Death Eaters, at all. Period.
POSITION: 3rd Year Student
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual; while same-sex relationships are possible in Hetalia-verse, Liechtenstein who has a Roman Catholic upbringing would not be involved in such relations. Though that is mostly due to Switzerland’s protectiveness over her. She is, however, not averse to platonic affections.
ABILITIES & POWERS:
Being a nation has granted Liechtenstein with a near-eternal lifespan that surpasses a normal human, continuing to exists so long as her people does. Her health is inevitably influenced by the state of her people and economies, or when afflicted by wars. Most likely due to Switzerland’s influence, she has also picked up skills in healing and first aids, which would come in handy in the battlefield. And while she knows how to handle weapons such as guns, she has since stopped using it from the moment she declared her neutrality, which is why she would not be involved in battles but will instead lend her skills in medical treatments (ex: healing spells).
She is, however, excellent in needle works and embroideries, having even sewn a nightgown/PJ for Switzerland before; other than that, she is rather good with technologies and gadgets. This can be translated into her skills in Charms and Transfiguration; her love for animals and nature, though, will be poured out into Care of Magical Creatures, and Herbology, and perhaps a bit of Potions too.
WAND: Willow with Unicorn Core. 8 ½ inches. Reasonably Springy. The wand’s strength is in Healing.

WRITING SAMPLESFIRST PERSON: [Video]
[The commuter switches on to show Liechtenstein sitting on her bed in the dormitory, surrounded by what seems to be a random miss-match of cloths, along with a small box of sewing equipment by the side. At the moment, she seems to be focusing in sewing an adorable-looking jack-o'-lantern. She realises that the commuter is already on and quickly sets her work down, flushing lightly in embarrassment, then takes in a deep breath before speaking.]
This might seem a little strange, but I’m sewing a few Halloween gift treats, and I wonder if there are anyone who would like one for yourself, or a gift to someone.
[She laughs softly at her own statement, as if unable to believe that she thought this had been a good idea.]
If you would like to own one, please do let me know. Request for different designs and items are available, but limited though. So be quick!
[And she ends the feed with a teasing smile.]
THIRD PERSON:
Liechtenstein had to admit it, though she found this predicament strange--suddenly finding yourself in a magical world had to sound otherworldly and baffling--she couldn’t help looking forward to Herbology, one of her favourite subject. Catching sight of a few fellow Hufflepuffs, she eagerly trotted after them, chattering excitably about what the professor will be teaching them next. They were told to read up beforehand, but the professor will only reveal to them what they will be taught on their arrival.
It didn’t take long before they reached, and Liechtenstein quickly took her place and waited with a kind of child-like excitement. Soon, the professor entered the greenhouse and greeted them warmly as she joined the students in a chorus of “Good morning, professor.”
“Good morning, students.” The professor greeted them with a sunny smile befitting of the warm weather of that day, before pulling out a pot that contained a pod-like plant. “Now, would anyone like to tell me what this is?”
When nobody respond, Liechtenstein hesitantly raised her hand. “It’s a Puffapod, professor.” She answered when given the permission. “It tends to make trolls sneeze if they’re exposed to it.”
“That is correct, Miss Vogel, and an excellent answer. Ten points for Hufflepuff.”
Liechtenstein beamed at having gotten the right answer, and being able to contribute points for her House; it was the least she could do. The rest of the class seemed to fly by in a quick blur as she concentrated on learning more about Puffapods, along with other magical plants that were introduced.
By the time class was done, Liechtenstein’s stomach was already rumbling even before she reached the Great Hall, only to be made even hungrier from the delicious scent wafting through her nostrils. Lunch was excellent, as usual, and once that was done, Liechtenstein decided to head off to the library for a few extra readings the professor had recommended in class earlier.
