Elza…I don’t know what my last name was before…I went into the Guild.

Sajah, formerly in the Kingdom of Highland on 27 October, IS 434.
3. Who are/were your parents? Did/do they have occupations?
Cain and Maria. They were farmers.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
If I have any younger siblings, I do not know about them.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom?
I live on a boat that is connected to Budehuc Castle. My room is near the baths, and for the most part it’s reasonably quiet. For right now, I live by myself.
6. What is your occupation?
I am a courier for the infirmary. I also do some guard duty whenever the situation calls for it.
7. Write a full physical description of the character. (Third Person)
Elza is 5’5’’ and about 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She has a scar across the bridge of her nose, a result of a training incident while she was in the Tower. She is usually seen wearing a white cloak over a short blue dress. More often than not she wears knee-high boots.
8. To which social class do you belong?
In Harmonia, the Guild was a separate entity from the Caste system generally practiced there.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
My right arm is weaker than my left arm, due to it being injured in the fracas with Luca Blight nigh on two years ago.
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
I was trained to be ambidextrous, however on the rare occasions that I have to sign for something, I do it right-handed.
11. What does your voice sound like?
It’s quiet and low.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
“I’ll have a vodka / seven.”

If I told you everything in them I’d have to kill you. I will say that I have spare ammo and antidotes for a variety of poisons in my cloak pockets.

Sometimes I pause while I speak, because I’m never really sure what to say in a social situation. My eyes are always looking around, because I am always wary of danger.
Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
I would like to think I was a happy child up until the age of 5. Once I was sent to the Guild, my childhood ended.
16. What is your earliest memory?
Playing heroes and monsters with some of the neighbor kids. I always got to be a hero, because I was too little to be the monster.
17. How much schooling have you had?
I was taught by tutors in the Guild. We studied a lot of history and strategy. The rest of our day not studying with tutors were devoted to mastery of various weapons and fighting techniques.
18. Did you enjoy school?
I think some part of me liked the structure and the intensity, but the torture I could have done without.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
In the Tower.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
Out of all the elders, it was Master Sauro that I admired and respected the most. He was a hard taskmaster, but he did it so that you would respect him in the end, and not fear or loathe him.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I…loved my mother and father dearly.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an explorer.

Playing with the kids next door and exploring.

I was a quiet and a bit nosy sort of child.

I played with the kids next door a lot. They were like…well, what I guess normal kids would be like.

I was 12 and it was Kelly.

No. I was 14 and Kelly…was my first. We had been training with one another all day and…I guess our emotions got the better of us. [OOC note to self: Kelly and Elza were each other’s first and then Elza was Clive’s first.]

Being taken away from my parents is something that has always stayed with me. The Guild tried their hardest to make me forget that, but the only thing that kept me sane through the training were those memories. My entire experience with the Guild has shaped me but in less favorable ways. There are few people I trust, and people’s motives are always suspect.
Part 3: Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Coming back to life, because the more experiences I have at Budehuc, the more I realize that this chance I have is precious and I’d be fool to waste it.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Master Sauro.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Living.
32. What is your greatest regret?
Kelly, and then Clive. A part of me wishes that things had turned out differently, but if they hadn’t gone the way that they had, I wouldn’t have what I have now.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
On orders from the leader of the Republic of Tinto, I posed as a mistress of a high ranking person in one of their Guilds that had power on his mind [allegedly] and assassinated him. He had a wife and 8 children.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
None that can be proven.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
When I sat in the cart and watched my parents and the town of Sajah fade into the distance when I was 5.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
Kelly caught me and Clive…in flagrante delicto. Kelly never stopped being with me, but things between us somehow changed.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
I should have been braver and tried to keep Kelly from listening so much to the Elders and turning against us.
38. What is your best memory?
My first kiss with Mathiu.
39. What is your worst memory?
Watching Kelly fall as I held Stern in my hands. I saw the light drain from his eyes as his body crumpled to the ground. I ran over to him and I held his head up, and he whispered to me, “I always loved you and Clive.” He exhaled, and that was it. I saw Mond, picked it up, and started running.
A close second is when karma [and Clive] caught up to me in Sajah, and I felt the life draining from my eyes as Clive finally held me in his arms as the life drained out of me.
Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I’m cynical to the core.
41. What is your greatest fear?
My biggest fear is that I will go back to becoming the heartless assassin that I was. I struggle with that every day.
42. What are your religious views?
I can depend on no one else but myself.
43. What are your political views?
People should be left to their own devices without someone constantly telling them where to go, what to do, and when to do it. That, and you can’t legislate morality.
44. What are your views on sex?
Without sex, where would we be? I’m all for it…*blush*
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I am able to kill when the need arises. When I was in the Guild, circumstances did not matter, as long as the assignment was done. Now that my affiliation with the Guild is no more, there are personal standards that I will adhere to should I have to take another life.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Separate a parent from a child, or vice versa.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

A life where I and those whom I lo…care about are safe and free from worry, fear, or pain.

I am honest to a fault. Most people can’t handle that, but sometimes life is about saying the things that people may not like, but need to hear anyway. There is one exception - when I’m with Mathiu, sometimes it seems as if the words escape me, or that I would sound overly dramatic about my feelings for him. I’ve always had difficulty with expressing my emotions, and thankfully he understands and doesn’t…needle me too much.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
No.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I refuse to go back to Harmonia and have anything to do with the Guild. They’ve tried to take me back by force, and even though they tortured me worse than they did when I was training, I managed to find a way back [to Mathiu] home.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
Mathiu, Kelly, Darks, and Clive. Mathiu is someone I…lo…love. Kelly…he’s trying to remake the Guild and I still think he’s being brainwashed and I wish I could save him. Clive…Clive is still out there somewhere. Clive is my best friend, and…I worry. Worst of all, it doesn’t help that I come back and Darks has vanished, too.

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I keep everyone at a distance until I get to know them and / or deem that they are trustworthy.

Mathiu. Because I’m learning from him that life, even a second one, is too short to close one’s self off from the world.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
A historical figure I respect is Cathari. She was a Guild member that was involved in the Sun Rune War. She struck a good balance between doing the Guild’s work, and not causing harm to innocent people. Someone I respect now is Queen. I have heard many stories about the 12th, and the work that they do, and I admire her for being a picture of strength and grace.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
My current friends are: Mathiu, Darks, Clive, and Troy. Mathiu is the one person that I can sit with in silence and not feel uncomfortable. I can also tell him anything, and he wouldn’t judge me or criticize me. Darks has been through what I’ve gone through and three times worse thanks to Holy Harmonia. Clive…*sighs* We’ve been together since we were 5. Up until the moment I died, there was not a person in the world that knew as much about me as he did. And Troy - even though we are new friends to one another, I enjoy his conversation and his taste in tea.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other?
Mathiu and I are seeing one another seriously.
58. Have you ever been in love?
Yes. Clive and Kelly…I know that sounds weird, but the three of us…out of maybe 25 children, we were the only three that survived to become Knight Class Gunners. The three of us were all each other had and it did something to all of us emotionally. And now, I…I love Mathiu.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Trust.
60. How close are you to your family?
The only family I truly consider myself having are Clive and Kelly. Clive is out there somewhere, and Kelly…he’s turned against all we believed in. I don’t know what to think about that.

*superblush* Maybe someday…I would like a family of my own. I feel as if I owe something to be a better parent than mine were to me.

Mathiu and possibly Troy, since they’re the only two people I trust that are left here.

I trust [most] of the people in the castle to defend it. Me personally, I guess that would fall to Mathiu, and maybe Troy, but we don’t know each other [that] well.

I sort of hope that Mathiu would.

The list is long and distinguished, but I’ll name a few.

I’ll argue, but generally I know when to reel it in.

No. I’m not a fan of large crowds or parties.

No. I like my interactions with people to be more of a one on one basis. It’s hard to read people when they’re in a crowd of others - you can learn so much more by having a conversation with them once they’re alone.

No. I don’t interact with enough people for their opinions to matter to me one way or another.

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
I like to drink and I like to read.

Blue. Not so much by choice, but by my own admission I look nice in most shades of blue.

Fettucine alfredo with large shrimp. I remember being in Merseto on a mission and I ate at a restaurant that had the best shrimp - seasoned right and everything. I was looking forward to visiting that restaurant with Mathiu…
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I like to read historical texts and biographies, particularly of those involved in the Sun Rune War. I guess that’s because for a while there, there were so many people arriving from that time, and I wanted to know more about that period in history.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
I am a fan of museums. Gregminster is one of my favorite cities because of the art scene there.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I drink. Mostly because I spend so much time being aware, that every once in a while, I would like to be less aware, and drinking does that. It also relaxes me and gives me enough courage to be less awkward…at least in Mathiu’s presence, anyway.

Right now, in the infirmary recovering from my injuries. But usually, I read and drink tea.
78. What makes you laugh?
Mathiu. He has a very…dry sense of humor.

I’m not easily shocked or offended - I’ve just about seen it all.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Read.

I go to sit by the lake and read. Reading something always seems to make me feel better.

Things have to be planned out.

Before, I would get up, walk around, and then just sit in my room and read. Every once in a while, Mathiu would ask me out for drinks.

Mathiu and possibly Troy, since they’re the only two people I trust that are left here.

I trust [most] of the people in the castle to defend it. Me personally, I guess that would fall to Mathiu, and maybe Troy, but we don’t know each other [that] well.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
I sort of hope that Mathiu would.

The list is long and distinguished, but I’ll name a few.
Colton: for what he did to Darks. Who let that fat pig live?

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I’ll argue, but generally I know when to reel it in.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
No. I’m not a fan of large crowds or parties.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
No. I like my interactions with people to be more of a one on one basis. It’s hard to read people when they’re in a crowd of others - you can learn so much more by having a conversation with them once they’re alone.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
No. I don’t interact with enough people for their opinions to matter to me one way or another.
Part 6: Likes And Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
I like to drink and I like to read.
71. What is your most treasured possession?
My personal journal.
72. What is your favorite color?
Blue. Not so much by choice, but by my own admission I look nice in most shades of blue.
73. What is your favorite food?
Fettucine alfredo with large shrimp. I remember being in Merseto on a mission and I ate at a restaurant that had the best shrimp - seasoned right and everything. I was looking forward to visiting that restaurant with Mathiu…
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I like to read historical texts and biographies, particularly of those involved in the Sun Rune War. I guess that’s because for a while there, there were so many people arriving from that time, and I wanted to know more about that period in history.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
I am a fan of museums. Gregminster is one of my favorite cities because of the art scene there.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I drink. Mostly because I spend so much time being aware, that every once in a while, I would like to be less aware, and drinking does that. It also relaxes me and gives me enough courage to be less awkward…at least in Mathiu’s presence, anyway.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Right now, in the infirmary recovering from my injuries. But usually, I read and drink tea.
78. What makes you laugh?
Mathiu. He has a very…dry sense of humor.

I’m not easily shocked or offended - I’ve just about seen it all.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Read.

I go to sit by the lake and read. Reading something always seems to make me feel better.

Things have to be planned out.

I don’t have any, honestly. I don’t let anything bother me that much. Well, except for Luca going crazy every other minute or so. But even that becomes…[normal].

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you.
Before, I would get up, walk around, and then just sit in my room and read. Every once in a while, Mathiu would ask me out for drinks.

Nothing fazes me. Except for love. But I’m working on that.

Letting my past define my present.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would get rid of this scar across my nose. Shallow of me, but true.

Extremely introverted.

Organized to a fault.

I am good at shooting targets, drinking most people under the table, and poker.
I am not good at being social, dancing, or dominoes.

I am pretty allright with myself.

I wouldn’t mind being an adventurer, but I could never see myself as a heroine.

Some semblance of a normal life.

Existing happily at Budehuc with Mathiu.

I would want to die for something I believed in.
