The Undeath of Taco Bron

Pancho's & Beer - formerly Taco Bron - has a long history of serving some of the best food and margaritas in town, but it is now the culinary equivalent of a walking corpse.

I went there last night in a party of five. We ordered a pitcher of margarita, a vegetarian salad, and some "Build-Your-Own" Burritos.

The chips and salsa, once an important part of the Taco Bron experience, were very unimpressive.

The margarita came with no ice and resembled urine in color. Upon tasting it, we concluded that it was just tequila mixed with sugar water. We asked for and received several bowls of limes to make it drinkable. The waitress also came by after 15 minutes to pour some ice into the pitcher.

Then the food came. The vegetarian salad was found to contain chicken, and I was initially served a chicken burro rather than a vegetarian burrito. Fortunately, the size of the burro alerted me to the fact that something was wrong and I didn't eat it.
