Feeling Hot Hot Hot
Ah late August in Southern California. For those of you who don’t know what this means it means hot weather. Not just hot, but HOT. Like, melt you in your shoes hot. And fires.
Woke up today after my morning/afternoon sleep with a splitting headache because it was 105 F (That’s 40.5 C for you metric folks) out and, the bedroom being upstairs with poor air circulation and the AC downstairs and useless to me, that made the room about 110 F or so (43 C). Not so good for sleeping but I have no choice. Took about 3 hours to recover from that loading up on water, salts, and a bit of sugar for calories to kick the body back into gear from heat sickness. Not fun.
There are also several fires burning around the various counties (none in Orange where we live, but all over LA and San Bernardino) which makes the air quality somewhat poor. I’ve managed to control my allergies through some interesting meditation and body work but it doesn’t help the general ick floating around.
There’s also little to no wind. Great for the fire fighters, bad for heat. So the air is heavy, hot, and generally unpleasant.
Oh well, a few more days/weeks then we’ll be into Fall and it’ll start to cool off to bearable temperatures again.
And before you all go off about OMFGWTFGLOBALWARMINGWE’REALLGONADIEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!... this is how it always is in late August here. In point of fact it has been a relatively mild Summer and I’m a bit surprised that this wasn’t here sooner. So chill. Heh.
Not much else going on other than work (an odd blessing as it is climate controlled) so there isn’t much else to report. So I’ll stick in a MEME that Bullet set up/stole and tagged me.

I work with them. I know them. I like them. I repair them. I relate to them quite well and am the default “tech support” for them for just about everyone I know, and they have almost all the games I love on them. Plus Internets. Whee.

Part of my spirituality. Look up Therianthropy for more but don’t take all of it to be part of me. I have my own views on it but I am Wolf by animal spirituality.
Shinai -
Something I do. It’s a fighting group where we play with Shinai (look it up, they’re bamboo swords) and have fun fighting on Friday nights (when I can go... work has kept me away for a long time). I’m an old hand, a “veteran”, in the group and have been doing it for (damn) about 15 years now. I’m fairly good. Not the best, but sneaky.
Lust -
A large part of my personal makeup. I have a nearly insatiable desire and a wide variety of tastes both kinky and “normal”. Nothing too weird but it is very prominent in my personality and behavior. It has been both a boon and a problem.
Writing -
I’m a writer and they say a fairly good one. I’ve got a few stories (short and not-so-short) that are done and I’m looking to see if I can get published as well as working on a series of books. I can whip up a detailed and descriptive scenario out of anything it seems. I’m a wordsmith at heart. One of my talents/gifts.
