Promises
I've learned as we go through life, many promises are made to us. They're always there. Sometimes from people you hardly know, and sometimes from people who know you better than you do yourself. Always be aware of those that promise the world, yet will take it all away. Learn from these times. You have to. Otherwise you will never mature. Also, know that a promise from a true love is a cut and polished diamond. You will sometimes find that your diamonds are just pretty glass, though. Life will give you a lot of glass, and you'll have to learn to walk over these shards to get to where you want and need to be.
There's one person in my life now, that I will shower with diamonds, even though I haven't been able to see her. I don't have to see her to know she's the love of my life, and the most beautiful little girl that has graced this green earth. She will never go without. I've not held her, but I know I will never let her out of my arms. I haven't talked to her, but I know that I will always praise her.
