Hello there!
Time to hear about Leeds and British life!
I absolutely love our apartment! It’s so cute!!! For England, it’s pretty spacious. Anyway, it has 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths - one has a shower, the other a tub - a small yet modern kitchen with black granite countertops and all of the appliances hidden in the cabinetry. The living room is small as well, and is in the same space as the kitchen pretty much, but it is still adorable. All of the accents such as pillows and draperies are green! YAY, my favourite colour. It’s wood flooring throughout, except in the bedrooms and baths. The bedrooms have carpet and the baths have nice tiles. We have a view of the dock with has cute little boats and ducks. There is a naval museum next door as well. It is in a really pretty area and is a 5min walk from the shopping district! WOOHOO!! We walk on a slate pathway next to the river to get there. It is beautiful and peaceful. Can you tell I like it?
I spent the day yesterday unpacking the suitcases and making it more into our home. I cleaned as well because the previous renter didn’t do such a thing, haha! So now it is all pretty and stuff. It’s safe too, to get in from the outside you have to have a code to punch in. We are on level 1, which is oddly the 3rd floor. There is the lower ground (lobby), upper ground, and level 1. Odd huh? Anyway…. That is a description of my new home.
Did you hear the news today? There is no danger any longer thanks to British Intelligence. 25 People were arrested today because they were planning to hijack 9 planes going to the USA to blow them up in the sky. I take it that it would have been similar to 9/11. But luckily there was a person who told and they were caught, eliminating the danger. Apparently this war in the middle-east isn’t going to end anytime soon.
