Oh noes! Life!!! ;)

So, this is gonna be my update. Keep in mind I haven't exactly "slept" in two - no wait, three - days. So comprehension is not guaranteed.

Birthday dinner at the Skylon tower was lovely, as were the Niagara Falls. I can never get over the beauty, and the sounds of the water. And Daddy bought me a rose from the basket vendor person. Isn't he cyoot? Yes, he is. :)

Birthday swag as of yet includes: gorgy antiqued silver necklace with my birthstone (emerald) from the parents, as well as the new Stevie Nicks CD/DVD **BOUNCE BOUNCE FANGASM SQUUUEEEE!!!** and a dark chocolate Toblerone, as we have this Toblerone tradition thingy with holidays, whatever, you don't care, LOL! I also got a lurvly flower arrangement from my sis & her hubby & son, and this t-shirt from my other sis, her hubby, and her boys (along with a Laura Secord chocolate thingamie and satsuma & grapefruit Body Shop stuff... I lurv.)

Oh, and we had a conversation at dinner regarding my vehicle for university (yeah, I know, I am very spoiled, and I have no qualms about admitting it). See, my beloved Chevy is set to hit 100k within the next month or two, so if we were going to trade it in, now would be the time to do it. Plan 1 is for me to keep my truck, Dad will get a new truck, and in a few years, once my truck is starting to get beat up, I'll take the truck my Dad is buying now, and he'll take my current truck. Confusing, I know, but I'll be driving far longer distances, and he'll still have their Tahoe to drive on highways etc., so my baby would just be for hauling hay wagons and the occasional trip to town. Option 2 is that we trade the truck for something new, which could be one of the following vehicles: PT Cruiser, Jeep, mini-truck (think Chev S-10/Ford Ranger/GMC Sonoma sized), or something smaller & very efficient (least likely to happen, if you saw the highways I drive from home to Trent U, my top preferred school. Not cool in teensy McMuffin type vehicle.)
I love my truck, its only downfalls being fuel economy with today's prices (at least $80 per fill up, minimum) and manageability in smaller spaces. However, I would still have a truck with 4WD for scary Trent winters, and be able to haul my gooseneck in emergencies. Jeep and PT Cruiser (likely convertible) would be very fun, especially since I have a soft spot for Jeeps, but far less stable, although better on gas, and no towing capacity. Mini truck, well, that would be OK, I suppose. But then I might as well just keep my big truck, IMO. Any thoughts?

Also, you may remember my spasm I-can't-handle-stress post. Big bold swear words? Yeah. So that day, the vet came in and removed a lump from my mare's hock & muzzle. I got to hold her for surgery - yay. /sarcasm. She's doing well, and we're guardedly hopeful re: test results, which we will find out on Wednesday or somewhere around there. My pony is my four legged shrink, so between sick relatives & school stress, I was not dealing so well with the whole "pony could be sick too" idea. And yeah, I know she's not technically a pony, but I call her pony, so there. :P

Anyways, hope y'all are gonna have a great weekend, I've got party plans, and intend to do a couple essays in about two hours tomorrow. Go me! Then I leave for New York on the 9th, and return on the 13th. Never been to the big city, so I'll have to let you all know how the poor lil country mouse does. I'll be the one wandering around looking up at the tops of buildings. And taking pictures of odd things, and videoing myself & my friends throwing garbage out IN A NEW YORK GARBAGE CAN. COMPLETE WITH VOICEOVER. "OK, so I ate my hot dog and now I am going to throw the rest of this New York hotdog bun into this New York garbage can in New York! And Heath is gonna throw her New York Kleenex in the New York garbage can next to my New York hotdog bun! Yay!" (Seriously, it's sad how many videos and pictures we have like that from Europe. I'm a country mouse who is far too easily amused.)

So if you're in Manhattan, run about yelling "Sterling Underscore Sky! Sterling Underscore Sky from Canada, are you heeeere?"

And if I am, I will answer you. In the affirmative, and possibly in the third person, 'cuz I'm cool like that.
