Introduction
Hello! Sterling13 here. I figured that, since I'm starting art school in August, it would be fun to start and online journal. I don't know if anyone is going to READ it, but what the hell.
A little about myself:
I'm 18 years old, and am turning 19 in August.
My plan is to major in comic art, and publish my own comic.
Hopefully, I'll get a job during college and become independent.
I'm addicted to coffee and comics, both Japanese and western.
I prefer Seinen manga, but shojo and yaoi are my prefered literary junk food (not all the comics in those genres are junk, though). When it comes to western comics, I love superheroes, and anything by Paul Pope or Craig Thompson.
My two favorite books are The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde, and Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey, by Chuck Palahnuik.
My favorite movies are The Dark Knight, Fight Club, and Kick-Ass.
I was raised Roman Catholic, but am agnostic/borderline atheist.
I'm gender queer. Basically, that means that I'm REALLY gender confused. Which can be a royal pain in the ass.
So, there you have it. Hopefully, I'll have a lot of crazy shit to put down here once school starts, with my first shot at independence and wild art student stunts. Who knows. For now, I'm just planning and getting excited.
