Do you think if you thought hard enough, that you could stop your heart
And do you question those unconscious, involuntary, by-nature actions
That your body seems to perform without fail
Do you think if you forgot about your toes
Misplaced memory of the sprained-ankle, pulled-muscle, knee-reconstruction
You would just keep walking forever
So where does your subconscious stop
After all, life is just a widescreen plasma TV inside your head
Memory is just a perception of atoms
Regret, those atoms fallen ill
And when it all boils down to it, it’s a great wonder you don’t fall straight through the table
And slide around the floor
Mingle with the chairlegs
Before scampering merrily up the thighs of the attractive pothead in the corner
