Next Sunday (the 22nd) the Oregon Sinfonietta is having a concert:
Symphonie espagnole for violin and orchestra, Op. 21 - Edouard Lalo (1823-1892)
(featuring Niloy Ghosh, Violin)
Symphony No. 2 in b minor - Alexander Borodin (1820-1869)
It's at 3pm at the Sunnyside Adventist Church on 10501 SE Market.
Cost: zero simoleons, though donations gladly accepted.
It'll be good.... The middle movement of the Lalo piece reminds me of tango music.
Some of you may remember when I used to be the sixth chair violist, out of six. Now I have moved up, and I'm the fourth chair violist, out of four. Come and see my progress!
