194 weeks, oh how time flies!

Apparently the last time I updated this I had just moved to the Pacific Northwest. How life has changed for the better and worse since then. It's interesting keeping a journal as sparsely as I have.. I just can't believe all the changes that have occurred in such a short time period, relatively.

I'm currently sitting on the back patio at Judy Ramsey's in Tulsa. It's a humid 91 degrees and I've got the laptop hooked up to a lovely orange extension cord, listening to Albert Collins and being quite nostalgic! I've been trying to find a good blogging site to keep updated on now that I've dropped Facebook - but tumblr.com is down on only the second day of my signing up - so they're going to go bye-bye.

So what the hell? OK, I dated Loly briefly, had a baby named Max Devin Coronado and we parted ways. I got engaged to Marci, then took a summer trip to Tulsa and she cheated on me. I met a cool musician named Khadija and had a great time. Came back to Portland, got money stolen from me by a Japanese chick, Yuki. Played a lot of music, started a band called the Skyways, with Ben Michalak, Jeremy Sieber and Derek Willey. Played songs penned by me.. uhm... and then my job decided to borrow me to Taiwan for a few months.

So that's where I sit. I have my passport as of a few days ago. Filled out the majority of my Visa application. Monday I'm going to receive my flight itinerary, then submit the Visa app. Hopefully by the beginning of August I'll be on the flight and making a new way of life.

How the hell did this computer geek turn into such a flighty little man? I guess having spent 21 years doing nothing, and 10 of those sitting in front of a computer, I had to bolt - and see the real world. It's been painful, it's been great. It's been sunny, it's been dark. But I always try to keep a positive outlook and keep my head high. Just smile, and accept everything that happens. Be aware of choices made, and expect only the best results.

That's my motto, and I'm stickin' to it.

Until the next post...
