Akihiro Namba
Some of you may know Akihiro Namba (難波章浩), or some of you may not. He's a electrorock/synthrock vocalist/producer singed onto the Toy's Factory label. I just discovered him today while I was searching around in CDJapan, I saw the cover of his album and it seemed pretty interesting. So I went ahead and downloaded and found a lovely surprise! His style is very similar to that of Sawagi, and MOSH UNDER THE SUN. So if you enjoy any of these I'm pretty sure you'll love him too! He released his debut album "THE WORLD iS YOURS!" on March 3rd, 2010. (Yes, same day as capsule's PLAYER.)
I really don't know much about his bio, since I haven't found an English one yet. But for what I could understand from the Japanese bio, I think he used to be in the popular underground Japanese rock/punk band Hi-STANDARD, then later when the band disbanded in 2000, he went to pursue a career as a producer. He debuted as ULTRA BRAiN and released an single and an EP. Where he also worked with artists such as DJ KENTARO and Arron Jerome. After that, he went onto the club scene and became a DJ, did some production work for some songs, movies, etc. And also worked with Shinichi Osawa by lending his vocals to the song "Our Song" on Shinichi's album "The One". (Which his personal material is somewhat similar to that song.) Now he debuted under his own name and released his first album! (Source for bio.)

Click to viewThis song is more rock-oriented than electro, but it still has many synths and beats from the electrorock genre. Even though I like this song, it's not my favorite from the album. There are far better songs and more electro-based songs, which I'll be sharing on a separate post just not to lock this introductory one!
