It pissed me off beyond belief that Susannah would abandon Roland to run off into a dream-world with a fake Eddie, Jake and Oy. I get that King was trying to express that Susannah was at the end of her psychological rope and portray this as a happy ending, but to me it, one, it's an insult to the real Jake and Eddie to replace them with pale imitations; two, Susannah has gone through an astonishing amount of empowerment since being drawn through the Doors, and King strips her of that "for her own good" (very much like Donna Noble in "Journey's End"); and, three, I'm not sold that Susannah would leave Roland, given how close they've grown crossing Empathia. Granted, she is more likely to leave him than Eddie or Jake were, because she loves Roland but is not dependent on them in the same way. But still.
Basically, it was a disappointing end to a kickass character, not to mention the primary female character of the series, and I was not amused.
For all the structural faults and characterization issues and OMG WTF CLOWN in that last book, I KNOW.
