So, remember when I said that this journal would be for my stories? Well, this is it. At first, I was quite reluctant to share my stories, but hey, I wouldn't wanna keep reading eyes leaving with nothing, right? :)
So here, with my own characters and stuff, here's my story:
Title: Destiny - Prologue
Characters: (Original Characters) Emerald Elm
Words: 531
Summary: It's tough to be the new kid on the first day in school. 16-year old Emerald Elm thinks so, and she herself isn't loving the idea of being the new kid in town...
Warnings: Maybe a few words and suggestive things, but I dunno what else...
Notes:
-This is kinda my first "actual" story, so I might not be good with words and things like grammar. I can be a bit wordy at times, so that's about it...
-Comments are always appreciated. :)

Nervous. This was the feeling 16-year old Emerald Elm was feeling walking to school on her first day. This would normally make anyone feel excited in the least, going back to school (depends if you do like school), but not Emerald-this was not her second, third, or fourth year in school.
No, she was that kid.
That kid who’s in new territory. She’s that kid whose face no one has ever saw before on campus. She’s that kid who’s probably a loner, a geek, a nerd, a weirdo-whatever you will, she’s just one of those kids. Emerald knows that she’ll be the one everyone will probably eye on for some time, maybe to scrutinize who she was, where she came from, and most importantly-how she acted and behaved. Besides, how else would you be called one of the popular ones or the outcast type?
She walked faster, her leather shoes beating against the concrete sidewalk. She wore a pair of black leather shoes, which complemented the black pair of jeans she wore that clung to her legs constantly. She wore a forest green shirt with sleeves that have slightly torn edges, and some parts of the shirt’s color had faded. She had a fair complexion, a button nose and a pair of brilliant green eyes. Her hair was as black as the darkness of night, and its ends sat lazily on her shoulder.
She looked up and saw the sky darkening. Logic kicked in-what do you do when dark clouds gather above you? What else-walk faster.
A few minutes of brisk walking brought her ever so closer to the school. On the horizon was the school’s bell tower-an artifact of sorts for the little suburbs of Winterwood. The brick red walls of the school came into view. And then she saw the students. She stopped dead in her tracks.
This was it, she thought. Time to make it or break it.
She tried to move, but she couldn’t. Try as much as she could, but she couldn’t. It was the power of fear, the fear of the unknown, that grasped her by the legs. She was paralyzed by it. She hated it.
Tiny droplets of rain fell on her shoulder. She had to make a decision to move or not. She thought more-I could just stay here, skip class and get drenched in the rain. Maybe I’ll get a cold, get sick and die, if I’m lucky. Or I could brave the first day of school, stay normal, act normal-then hopefully leave a good impression with my classmates. Hmm…the second choice doesn’t seem so bad-at least I don’t die of a cold. But what if I say something wrong or stupid in class…darn, darn, darn!
But then she made her choice. She took small, timid steps to the school. She could see the expressions on the faces of the people-happy, excited, gloomy, sad-it really didn’t matter now.
Because now she found herself in the sea of faces.
She was either going their way or the other.
It wasn’t going to be easy, but she had to do something.

So that's about it! There'll definitely be more in the future, so stick around for some more! Thanks again for reading!
